Who are we?
My name is Robb. As of now, I am the sole writer for this site. I have always loved baseball and the Minnesota Twins. It’s an amazing thing to hit a round ball going 90+ MPH with a round bat and hit it on the sweet spot! Just once I would love to know what it feels like to hit a ball over the fence!
What are we About?
TwinsTakes.com was started because I wanted a place to put my thoughts on the Minnesota Twins. I wanted to have a place where people could go to talk about anything happening with the Minnesota Twins and baseball in general.
I love talking baseball. I love looking at stats to see how a player is doing. I love following the minor leagues and Twins prospects through other blogs or boxscores or team websites. It’s fun to see how a player progresses through the system, to have that drive to keep playing for years to make their dream come true and then get that magic call telling them they are going to the big leagues!
I love the draft. I love that roughly 1500 kids are drafted every year and a guy taken in the 62nd round can turn into arguably the best hitting catcher in baseball history even though he was drafted as a favor to his father. Or a guy taken in the 13th round that could end up being the greatest baseball player ever!
